Discover a highly robust approach to simulate the performance of your entire product; assess the overall behavior of the multi-disciplinary system in the form of 0D, 1D and/or 3D models.
During this webinar, special speaker Martin Ortega, Senior Engineer at Mabe, will show how Mabe utilizes system-level simulation and motor control modeling to improve washing machine performance. Then our technical specialist at Altair Engineering, Livio Mariano, will explain how to:
- Easily model hybrid systems using a mix of signal-based and physical-based modeling approaches
- Optimize control system design, which enables the development of today’s smart systems involving sensors, actuators, feedback, and built-in logic
- Obtain a holistic assessment of the overall system’s behavior as well as interactions between components & subsystems.
Martin Ortega, Senior Principle Design Engineer. Mabe
Martin holds master’s and PhD degrees in multi-body simulation applications from the Mexico Autonomous National University. He started his professional career in 2008 at Mabe as a Senior Design Engineer in the Applied Physics group. in 2010 he moved to US to collaborate with General Electric Appliances and returned to Mabe CAE group after completion of two successful projects. Currently, he manages the flexible dynamic multi-body simulations and validation, washing machine suspension and balance ring part design, non-linear FEA of structural and appearance components, FEA driven cost optimization on internal components and provide CAE support across the three main Mabe Appliances areas (Clothes Care, Refrigeration and Cooking).
Livio Mariano, Technical Specialist, Math &Systems. Altair Engineering
Livio received his master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Polytechnic University of Milan. He has over 10 years of experience working in the Math & Systems domain. In 2011 he joined Altair Engineering as a Project Engineer. Currently he is a Technical Specialist of the Altair math & systems solutions, he is responsible for a variety of activities in the Model-Based Development area among which: Pre-sales and business development, hosting technical training and workshops, and providing technical support to clients.
